The Urban Environmental Engineering and Management Program of the School of Environment, Resources and Development welcomes Prof. Poul Harremoes from the Technical University of Denmark. Prof. Harremoes is a visiting faculty under the AIT-DTU Twinning for the January 2000 term.

APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR THANH AS ADVISOR TO THE PRESIDENT

The President in consultation with and endorsement by PEC members has appointed Professor NGUYEN CONG THANH as Advisor to the President, effective immediately.

PTS Reminder

The deadline for submission of PTS application forms of Asian-AIT students for the May Term 2000 (i.e. leaving for Europe by end of April/ early May 2000) will be on 31 January 2000. Please forward your PTS application forms (with requested documents) to the PTS Co-ordination Office or contact Ms. Gemma at # 6318, Rm. E126, SERD Building.

Final Examination

The Final Examination of Mr. Ng Chuen How (BPD959662), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Bioprocess Technology, SERD, will be held on Thursday, 27 January 2000, 2:00-4:00 p.m., BPT Room No. 201 (Bioprocess Technology Building). The title of the report is 'Effect of deacetylation conditions on the physico-chemical properties of cuttlefish chitin and chitosan'. All interested faculty are invited to attend.
