The Asian Institute of Technology will partner with the Government of France to stage an international scientific conference next year in Thailand, as a prelude to the COP 21 World Forum on Climate Change to be held in December 2015 in Paris, France.
This is the concluding workshop in the project supported by Asia Pacific Network for Global Change (APN) and jointly implemented by Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand; Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan; and International Research Center for River Basin Environment (ICRE), University of Yamanashi, Japan.

Thailand’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has approved a budget of 119,153,000 Thai Baht from ‘the Central Budget for Cases of Emergency and Necessity’ for the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai has been appointed as the 7th President of the Asian Institute of Technology. His appointment was announced at the meeting of the AIT Board of Trustees held on 17 July 2014. He has been elected for a term of four years.
AIT Chairman of the Board of Trustees H.E. Dr. Subin Pinkayan visited the campus on 15 July 2014 to learn first-hand about the Institute’s research work and how he could assist its development, prior to a planned trip to the United States to visit nine universities.
