Mr. Yuba Raj Bhusal, an alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has been appointed as the new Finance Secretary of Nepal. His appointment was announced following a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Nepal, which was held on 10 April 2014.
Dr. Shobhakar Dhakal of the Asian Institute of Technology’s energy field of study is one of the world-leading researchers who have contributed to the latest IPCC report on global climate change.
The AIT Student Union is organizing an International Food Fair on 11 April 2014 from 1100-1700 hours in front of the AIT Conference Center. Ten countries will participate in the International Food Fair. Nine of the 10 participants will also compete for prizes.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus has confirmed plans to visit Thailand on 10 April 2014 to meet with Thailand-based partners of the Yunus Center at AIT (YCA), saying in an email that he looks forward to further collaboration with AIT.
