Over 400 students from 37 countries all set to join AIT in August semester

One hundred and one students from 21 countries graduated from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) at the informal inter-semester graduation ceremony organized on 5 August 2013. Students from three countries – El Salvador, Mexico and Albania became the first-ever graduates from their respective countries as they joined nearly 20,000 alumni spread over 90 countries in the world.

DIKTI explores enhanced partnership and sustained relationship with AIT

Indonesia’s Directorate General of Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (DIKTI) wants Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to help in enhancing the academic qualifications and standards of faculty in their country. This sentiment was expressed by a three-member delegation from Indonesia, comprising of Dr. Yusuf Fuad of State University of Surabaya; Mr. Ridwan Anzib, Deputy Director for Qualification Affairs, DIKTI and Dr. Yusuf Yunardi,, Attache’, Education and Culture, Embassy of Indonesia, Thailand, during their visit to AIT on 31 July 2013.

AIT delegation calls on Nepal President, Interim PM and FM in Kathmandu

Professor Emeritus Dr. Sahas Bunditkul, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the AIT Board of Trustees and former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, along with Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Interim AIT President, led an AIT delegation on an official visit to Nepal from 18-20 July 2013 at the invitation of the AIT Alumni Association-Nepal (AITAA-N) and the Nepal Education Foundation-Consortium of Colleges, Nepal (NEF-CCN). The three-day visit was highlighted by meetings with the country’s president, interim prime minister and foreign minister.
