HM King’s & HM Queen’s and Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS) Scholarships 2013 recipients announced

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 19 July 2013 announced the names of 66 successful recipients of full academic scholarships for Master degree programs awarded under the prestigious His Majesty the King’s Scholarships, Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships and Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS) Scholarships programs, for study at AIT beginning in August 2013.

JAXA continues support for AIT, deputes faculty for three years

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) continues to support the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and as a latest step in its ongoing partnership announced a three-year secondment of Dr. Shinichi Nakamura. A delegation of JAXA, headed by Mr. Toru Sasaki, Director, Bangkok Office visited AIT on 17 July 2013 to introduce Dr. Nakamura, who serves as a Senior Engineer and Manager in the Flight Dynamics Division, Space Tracking and Data Acquisition Department, JAXA, Japan.

AIT showcases its technological might at AIT Technology Event

Designed to provide senior executives and senior management with knowledge on innovative trends, the themes included trends and innovation in the building and construction industry in the ASEAN; design and construction of buildings for higher performance, cost effectiveness and sustainability; safety of buildings in the face of earthquakes and strong winds; solutions for foundations and deep basements; risk assessment and management in projects; green and sustainable buildings; facility and real-estate management through a GIS-based integrated system; and affordable housing solutions.

A sterling lineup of senior business executives, academics and special dignitaries associated with the Asian Institute of Technology headlined the Opening Ceremony of the AIT Technology Event on 9 July 2013 in Bangkok. The event shone a light on some of AIT’s most successful graduates and underscored the Institute’s engineering impact in Thailand and the region.
