Two articles by Prof. Said Irandoust, President, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) have been published in the media.

Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will unveil the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA) scholarships for the year 2013 at a press conference being organized at Summit Parkview Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar on 14 January 2013. The scholarship will be granted to eligible Myanmar citizens to pursue post-graduate studies at AIT.

The Annual Report 2011 of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) highlights the collective spirit of the Institute amidst its greatest disaster — the Great Thailand Flood of 2011 when the Institute was inundated under water.

One hundred and two students arriving from 16 countries joined the new batch of students at the Orientation Program organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 8 January 2013. Seventy-nine students have enrolled for the Master’s program and the remaining 23 are exchange students in the Bachelor’s program.

Overseas Construction Association of Japan, Inc. (OCAJI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with AIT, following which OCAJI will be sending employees of its member companies to study at AIT. Employees deputed by OCAJI will enroll in the Master’s program in Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering (CEIM) at AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET), besides participating in short term training courses.

A total of 271 students hailing from 20 countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe were conferred with graduate degrees from AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust at the 118th AIT Graduation Ceremony held on December 18, 2012.
