Information Session on Bloombergy Assessment Test

Former PM speaks at Plenary Session of Sector Network Governance

Former Prime Minister of Thailand, Hon. Abhisit Vejjajiva delivered a speech during the plenary session at the conference “Changing Asia- Changing Governance: Governance Academy” held on 25 April 2012 in Bangkok. The event was organized by GIZ’s (German Society for International Cooperation) Sector Network Governance Asia General Meeting 2012, in partnership with Asian Institute of Technology Extension.

Timor Leste Ambassador assures all help to AIT

Ambassador of Timor Leste to Thailand, H.E. Mr. João Freistas de Câmara, assured the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) of all help to facilitate the program initiated by AIT towards capacity building in his country. During a visit to AIT on 25 April 2012, H.E. Mr. Câmara remarked that Timor Leste had made a substantial budget allocation for human resource development.

BNU delegation visits AIT seeking student exchange and joint research

An eight-member strong delegation arrived from China on 24 April 2012 to explore the possibility of joint research and student exchange with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Led by Prof. Li Xiaoxi, Deputy Director, Beijing Normal University Academic Committee, the delegation held talks with the AIT administration as well as its schools, extension and outreach centers.

Spirit of togetherness marks AIT Cultural Show 2012

The student from India went onstage to perform a Hindi song. Hardly had he begun that two students from Pakistan sauntered toward him and began to dance to the tune. Shortly afterward, a girl from Nepal joined them with her “Zumba” routine. She was followed by the students from Myanmar and Thailand. Midway through the song, students from a dozen countries, most of them in their traditional costume had improvised an impromptu dance to the melodies of a song they perhaps had never even heard before.

AIT alumnus appointed Police Chief in Nepal

Louis Berger has expressed its interest to partner with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), especially in Myanmar. In his visit to AIT on 19 April 2012, Dr. Charles E. Feibel,Vice President, Project Management, Louis Berger, stated that both AIT and Louis Berger have a strong connection with Myanmar, and they could benefit from a partnership.
