United Group for student and faculty exchange with AIT
United Group of Institutions (UGI) has proposed short term student and faculty visits to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Student exchange programs will include undergraduate and graduate students from engineering as well as management streams.
Bank of Bhutan seeks to partner with AIT
Bank of Bhutan, which is the largest and oldest bank in Bhutan, is exploring ways to partner with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for upgrading the skills of its employees. ARCMDG assists ASEAN develop new MDGs Roadmap
The first Regional Workshop on the ASEAN Roadmap for the Attainment of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) organized on 24-25 January 2011 in Bangkok, concluded with progress made towards realizing the MDGs for ASEAN by 2015 through a new roadmap, an AIT official said.

Prof Ram Shrestha to be Professor Emeritus
Prof. Ram Manohar Shrestha will be honored with emeritus professorship at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The conferment of this award was approved by the Board of Trustees of AIT at its meeting on 20 January 2011. The formal conferment of the Professor Emeritus award will be made during the May 2011 graduation ceremony.
