With floods comes a deluge of water. Ironically, the deluge is almost always accompanied with water shortages. Water shortages may sound surprising during such times, but clean drinking water becomes a casualty during every disaster. Muddy waters mix with clean water, while drinking water pipelines get washed away, with the end result being lack of potable water.

In what was described by officials as one of the largest and most successful gatherings of the AIT alumni executive membership, the 39th Governing Board Meeting (GBM) and associated activities of the AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) took place in Vietnam from 23-24 October 2010.
