Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) along with other partners have signed a contract with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on a host on issues including identifying early stage green technologies, working on new technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and conducting economic assessment of the impact of climate change.
Following an invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Timor-Leste, an AIT delegation comprised of Dr. Theo Ebbers, Outreach Coordinator for partner Wetlands Alliance and Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Senior Research Specialist, ASE, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), recently participated in the annual Timor-Leste and Development Partners Meeting in Dili on 7 April 2010.
On 27 April 2010, AIT President Said Irandoust led an AIT delegation consisting of Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Vice President for Resource Development and Dr. Nitin Afzulpurkar, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology to Thailand’s Phitsanulok Province to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIT and Naresuan University (NU) to recruit NU faculty members to complete their postgraduate studies at AIT, and also for other types of cooperation.

President Said Irandoust announced yesterday (3 May 2010) that the Institute will establish a Hall of Fame for the first time in its history. At its inauguration in September 2010, AIT will induct the first group of ten alumni into the AIT Hall of Fame.
