Erasmus Mundus offers tremendous mobility options for AIT

The Erasmus Mundus mobility program offers a tremendous opportunity for students of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and other partner institutions to study abroad. The “Bridging the Gap” program under the Eramus Mundus External Cooperation Window (EMECW) offers an enhanced mobility scheme for students, researchers and academic staff which is aimed at promoting sustainable development and cooperation in Higher Education.

A presentation "Bridging the Gap" on the international mobility project funded by ERASMUS MUNDUS will be held on Wednesday, 10th February 2010 at Room ET238 (Energy Building) from 10.00 am. onwards.The presentation will be made by Ms. Marcella Orrů, Head of the European Programmes, Cooperation and Networks office, International Cooperation and Mobility Division - University of Trento

AIT hosts presentation on World Bank’s role and resources

The World Bank policy research papers are among the most downloaded items in the internet. Downloads of World Bank papers are rated third next only to the National Bureua of Economic Research and the University Library of Munich (Germany).This was revealed by Dr. Chanin Manopiniwes, Infrastructure Economist, and Ms. Buntarika Sangarun of the, Public Information Center of the World Bank (Bangkok office) during a presentation on “World Bank Information Resources and on the World Bank Role in Infrastructure Development”.

Thailand students win two prizes in World Robotics Competition

Two teams of university engineering students from Thailand won prestigious prizes at the World Challenge, A.N.T.Z. Robotics Competition held on 24 January 2010 in Mumbai, India. The team from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok “IRAP” won first place in Type ‘A’ category, while the team from Singburi Technical College won second place of the Type ‘B’ category.
