The AIT Enterprises Alliance (AEA) – an initiative for industry-academia collaboration – came to life officially on 11 November 2020, as leaders of government, industry, and international organizations witnessed its launch online and in person at a special hybrid event organized under the theme “Towards 2030: What the Future Holds.

Erasmus+ funds ‘Re-Cap 4.0’ project led by ISE team

Reinforcing Non-University Sector at the Tertiary Level in Engineering and Technology to Support Thailand Sustainable Smart Industry (ReCap 4.0) – a project developed by AIT’s Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) Department under the leadership of Dr. Pisut Koomsap – has been selected by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission for €989,888 in co-funding.

Since January of this year, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has spread across the world. By the end of September, the situation is excellent in Thailand, but many places around the world, including several of the countries where our AIT students, faculty, and staff come from, are still heavily affected.

Student Union Research Exhibition: An organizer’s perspective

One month in the making, the AIT Student Union Research Exhibition at the Career Fair on November 4 was nothing like the previous five activities our Student Union had organized this Fall Semester.

Given the pandemic situation we are experiencing, our team planned for an exhibit where students could showcase their research studies via an online platform.

Father-son DBA duo credit School of Management for their company’s upward growth

Logic, critical thinking and systematic planning are skills that a pair of father and son entrepreneurs acquired while studying at the AIT School of Management and have contributed to the transformation of their family business “Join & Coin Corporation”. These key attributes have allowed their firm to grow faster and stronger, to reach further, and to operate sustainably through any form of disruption.

AIT received support towards a Named Master’s Degree Scholarship

Prof. Jae-Soo Shim, an alumnus graduated in Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering and Construction in 1980, has agreed to support AIT towards "Eight Credits Tuition Scholarship" in the amount 128,926 Thai Baht. This scholarship will be for a Master’s student of any nationality enrolled in Structural Engineering (STE), School of Engineering and Technology.

AIT Received Humanitarian In-kind Donations from SOM Alumnus

Mr. Navin Surana (MOT’94), AIT Alumnus, and Chief Executive Officer, TCI Global Ventures Co., Ltd. presented large amount of hygiene supplies to Dr. Eden Y Woon, AIT President. The signing agreement was held on 25 November 2020 at AIT campus. The in-kind donations consisting of hand sanitisers, face masks, and face shield will be distributed to School of Management, AIT International School and AIT community.

Manit Group donates THB 1.5 million to the AARM Tilapia Hatchery

AIT Alumnus Mr. Amorn Luengnaruemitchai, Director, Manit Group Co., Ltd., donates THB 1,500,000 for renovation of the Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management (AARM) Tilapia Hatchery.

At the signing ceremony on 25 November 2020, Mr. Amorn says he was attracted to make the donation by his memories of learning how to produce Tilapia seed in 1996 and of studying in the Aquaculture programme in 2000 at AIT. He took modern technology and know-how from AIT to transform Manit Farm into a modern aquaculture.
