Since January of this year, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has spread across the world. By the end of September, the situation is excellent in Thailand—with only one case of local transmission for over 100 days, but many places around the world, including several of the countries where our AIT students, faculty, and staff come from, are still heavily affected.

New Intakes for SOM programs in Vietnam

The AIT School of Management (SOM) in Thailand and AIT Center in Vietnam (AITCV) underscored their mutual cooperation by jointly holding Opening Ceremonies of the 4th intake of the Doctoral Business Administration (DBA) and the 20th Intake of the International Executive MBA (iEMBA) Program, both successfully organized this month in Vietnam.

New AIT Sustainability Report 2019

For the first time in its history, the Asian Institute of Technology has published a Sustainability Report which outlines key initiatives undertaken by the Institute in 2019 to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Introducing the new AIT Sustainability Report 2019, AIT President Dr. Eden Woon said: “This report provides a summary of the range of activities undertaken at the Asian Institute of Technology during 2019 to meet the SDGs through its teaching, research, outreach and public engagement, and operations.

AIT Renews Partnership with TEAM Group

On 17 September, 2020, President Dr. Eden Y. Woon and TEAM Consulting Engineering and Management PCL (TEAM Group) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Apichat Sramoon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to harness the synergy between AIT and TEAM and to strengthen the collaboration in academics, research, and development, consultancy and entrepreneurship.

Professor Anil Kumar Anal (HOD, Food Agriculture and Bioresources, School of Environment Resources and Development) in collaboration with Yves Wache (Umr, Pam, Agrosup, France), Professor Ralf Greiner (Max-Rubner Institute, Germany), Professor Weibia Zhou (National University Of Singapore, Singapore) and Dr. Son Chu-Ky (Hanoi University Of Science And Technology, Vietnam) as Editors has published a Special issue on “Food Safety in South East Asia” as part of Food Control Journal (Cite Score: 8.4; Impact Factor: 4.258) Elsevier publisher.
