Meetings of Audit and Executive Committee
Following the Audit and Executive Committee meetings held on 6 August 2007, there has been positive feedback from the Audit Committee itself on the improvements that have been made to the Institute's overall financial control and monitoring processes and systems.
AIT President attends ASEAN Forum 2007 in Indonesia
On 7 August 2007, AIT President Said Irandoust participated in the ASEAN Forum 2007, held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. H.E. Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of the Republic of Indonesia, delivered the keynote speech at the event which had the theme 'Rethinking ASEAN, Towards ASEAN Community 2015'. Also participating at the event were the ASEAN Secretary General; the Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation; the Minister of ICT and Commerce of Indonesia; the UN Special Ambassador for the Millennium Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific; and leading companies and NGO representatives.

On 8 August 2007, President Irandoust met with Dr. Ir. Gatot Hari Priowirjanto, Head Bureau of Planning and International Cooperation, Ministry of National Education, to finalize discussions regarding the involvement of AIT in a new scholarship scheme launched by the Government of Indonesia.

Taiwan Minister of Education expresses interest in collaboration with AIT
Taiwan’s Minister of Education, H.E. Mr. Tu Cheng-Sheng, recently led a high-level delegation to AIT, and expressed keen interest in possible collaboration with regard to the Taiwanese Ministry of Education's global collaboration plans for setting-up sister Centers in partnership between AIT and Taiwanese universities, officials said.
