Mr. Mathee Kaewnern (ASD987112), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Technical Science in Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management field of study, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) will have his comprehensive examination on Tuesday, 14 August 2007, 10:00 a.m. in Room 216, AFE Building.

AIT community congratulates H.E. Professor Nguyen Thien Nhân on his recent appointment as Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam

The AIT community extends congratulations and best wishes to H.E. Professor Nguyen Thien Nhân, Minister of Education and Training (MOET), on his recent promotion and appointment as Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister, which was confirmed by the Vietnam National Assembly on 2 August 2007.

Dr. Do Huy Thinh, Director of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Training Center, in Vietnam, who was at AIT to take part in AIT's Executive Committee meeting on 6 August 2007, informed the AIT community of this good news.

Dr. Sugimin Pranoto, Interim Director of our AIT Center in Indonesia (AITCI), visited AIT from 1 - 4 August to finalize the internal agreement between AITCI and the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) for the AIT-UGM (Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia) dual degree program in Transportation Systems Engineering.

The School of Engineering and Technology (SET) welcomes Dr. Wataru Takeuchi, who joined AIT recently.

Dr. Takeuchi has joined SET's Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Field of Study, from 1 August 2007 to 31 July 2009, as a visiting faculty member, seconded by the International Center for Urban Safety Engineering (ICUS), Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, Japan.
