11 April: A special lecture on "Water Knowledge Initiative for Asia-Europe Collaboration"
The AIT community are invited to attend the first lecture of a series of lectures by leading figures in the area of water, organized by Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein, AIT Vice President for Development and Resources.
26 April: Brainstorming meeting for AIT alumni staff members
All AIT alumni who are staff members of the institute are invited to attend an important brainstorming meeting on 26 April 2007, 2:00-4:30 p.m., at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium, AIT. Organized by Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein
, AIT Vice President for Development and Resources, the event will feature open discussions on the roles and participation of AIT alumni in the Golden Jubilee Fundraising Campaign 2007-2009. This meeting will be the basis for organizing an "Alumni Homecoming Orientation Seminar" to be held in June 2007.
Alumni are asked to confirm participation for the 26 April Brainstorming Meeting, which will by co-chaired by Prof.

AIT's career center featured in Thai American Business Journal
An AIT promotional article on the AIT Career Center was published in T-AB Thai American Business Journal, a journal of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, Vol. 1/2007.The article entitled "Reaching a Diverse Pool of Professionals from 79 countries" tells the readers about AIT's educational programs and informs companies as to how they can use the services of the AIT Career Center to recruit their employees from the pool of AIT graduates, who are highly-trained professionals with English language skills.

AIT signs three partnership agreements with Research and Consulting Company of Shakhes-Sazan (RCCSS), Esfahan, Iran
On Saturday, 24 March 2007, three partnership agreements - an MoA, MoU and Agreement of Cooperation between AIT and the Research and Consulting Company of Shakhes-Sazan (RCCSS), Esfahan, Iran, were signed by AIT President Said Irandoust, and Dr. Amir Mahmoodsadeh, Managing Director, RCCSS.According to the MoA, AIT will launch professional doctorate programs in Iran, for which RCCSS will provide AIT with a sum of US$28,000 per student for joining the programs.
Fulbright scholars share their experiences
By the invitation of Prof. Peter Haddawy, Vice President for Academic Affairs, once a Fulbright recipient hiimself, Ms. Porntip Kanjananiyot, Executive Director of Thailand-United States Educational Foundation, came to AIT to give a presentation on ‘Your Future with Fulbright’ to about 20 AIT students.
Smoking on campus
Numerous comments have been made regarding smoking on campus. The AIT policy is that smoking is prohibited in all the administrative and academic buildings, as well as in public areas on campus. Members of the community are requested to kindly adhere to that policy.
