TUSEF/Fulbright Day
The Thailand-U.S. Educational Foundation (TUSEF) - Fulbright invites Thai students for a talk on the 'TUSEF/Fulbright Day' on Monday, 19 March 2007, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Milton Bender Auditorium, AIT.
The talk would be of interest to Thai master's students interested in pursuing doctoral studies in the US, as well as to doctoral students who would be interested in conducting some research in the US.

8-9 March: SEA-UEMA Project and Hue City training in Vietnam
The Asian Institute of Technology, through the SEA-UEMA Project, and the Bureau of Foreign Affairs, Hue City, will jointly organize the 'Training Program on Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation of Solid Waste and Water & Sanitation Projects' in Hue, Vietnam on March 8-9, 2007.
The training will enable participants from government and non-government organizations gain a better understanding of the approaches, methods and practices used in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of urban environmental projects, especially on solid waste (SW) and water and sanitation (WS), in Hue City, Vietnam.
26-29 March: SEA-UEMA Project, MUST Training on UAQM in KL
The Asian Institute of Technology, through the SEA-UEMA Project, and the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST), will jointly conduct the 'Professional Training on Urban Air Quality Management: Policy and Tools for Integrated Assessment' on March 26-29, 2007 at the Grand Season's Hotel in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia.

AIT Establishes Academic and Research Cooperation with Chiang Mai University
AIT signed a memorandum of understanding with Chiang Mai University on 27 February 2007 aimed at fostering mutually beneficial cooperation that would facilitate academic, research and inter-institutional relationship between AIT and Chiang Mai University.

Very concrete activities and various types of planned initiatives are on the way at the AIT Center in Indonesia (AIT-CI), Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, disclosed to the AIT community recently after attending the Steering Committee meeting of AIT Center in Indonesia (AIT-CI) on 23 February 2007.AIT in collaboration with the University of Gaja Madah and AIT-CI will launch an 18-month joint dual-degree masters program in transportation systems & engineering, to be implemented by the AIT-CI and will start on August 2007. The World Bank will provide full funding for 20 students to join the dual-degree program.
MOU promises more dynamic collaboration
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Total Exploration and Production Thailand (TEPT), Total Professors Associations (TPA) and AIT at the Offshore Technology and Management (OTM) Open House Day held on 20 February 2007 to renew the MoU to strengthen the educational collaboration among three partners.
