At the second General Assembly meeting of AIT Student Union held on 11 September 2006, the following students were elected as SU Executive members:

AITAA announces activities
AIT Prominent Alumni Lecture Series - The AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) and Alumni Relations Unit (ARU) will organize a Prominent Alumni Lecture Series in which an alumna of AIT will deliver a lecture on his/her expertise on 31 October 2006.
AITAA 35th Governing Board Meeting - AITAA Mother Chapter and AITAA Lao P.D.R. Chapter will jointly organize the 35th Governing Board Meeting (GBM) on 9-11 December 2006 in Vientiane, Lao.

Electricity pricing workshop takes place 1-3 November
Electric Power System Management in the Energy field of study is organizing a training workshop on 'Electricity Pricing and Risk Management' during 1-3 November 2006 at the AIT Conference Center.
The training course covers the following topics: Pricing of Renewable Energy Resources; Fuel Adjustment Tariff Structure: A Case of Thailand; Generation Asset Valuation and Risk Analysis; Project Risk Management; Interrupted Energy Assessment Rate and Reliability; Improvement in Thai Power System; Very Small SPP Pricing and Policy; Renewable Portfolio Standard; Centralized Generation Scheduling in Competitive Environment; Electricity Price Regulation; Transmission and Distribution System Pricing; Integrated Resource Planning; Organization and Finance of Power Utility; Technical Visit.
Welcome Show scheduled for 23 September
The Gender and Cultural Affairs Committee of the Student Union invites students, staff and faculty members to take part in this year's Welcome Show to be held at 5 p.m. of 23 September 2006 at the AIT Conference Center (AITCC) Auditorium.
Workshop looks at sustainable development in Thailand
A special one-day workshop on 'Sustainable Development in Thailand and Relationship with other Asian Countries' will be conducted by Dr. Kan-ichiro Matsumura.
The workshop will be held from 9 am to 5 pm, Thursday, 20 September 2006, at room B-144 in AIT Conference Center.
Student Union second General Assembly meeting 11 September
The Student Union is organizing the second General Assembly Meeting on Monday, 11 September 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Milton Bender Conference Room. Other GA members who still have not yet registered please register with the Student Union Office or send details to aitsu@ait.
SU election results reported
The Election Committee of AIT's Student Union announced the result of the general election held on 7 September 2006 for the position of vice president for the August 2006 semester. The election came out that Mr. R.M.U.S.K. Rathnayake (Udaya) from Sri Lanka was elected with 277 votes.

Malaysia delegation explores collaboration
A delegation from Universiti Tecknologi Malaysia (UTM) visited AIT on 29 August 2006. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about AIT and to seek opportunities for collaboration with AIT in student/faculty exchanges, joint research projects and faculty and staff development through both degree programs and AIT Extension.
