Library announces new trial database

The AIT Library announced that ENGnetBASE: Engineering Handbook Online is now available for AIT community as a trial database until 26 September 2006.

ENGnetBASE provides online access to more than 500 engineering handbooks developed by CRC Press, a division of Taylor & Francis, LLC. The database currently includes 540 fully searchable titles in the engineering disciplines.

Seed funding available through Wetlands International

Wetlands International recently launched the Seed Funding Facility of the Wetlands and Poverty Reduction Project. The facility is an opportunity to provide funds to support the process of project proposal development and local partnerships strengthening for on-the-ground activities that deepen the understanding of how well-managed wetlands can help sustain the livelihoods and security of wetland-related communities.

Interim director appointed, office opens at AIT Center in Indonesia

As a follow up upon AIT's Memorandum of Agreement with Ministry of Public Works (MPW), Indonesia on the establishment of AIT Center in Indonesia (AIT-CI) which was signed on 27 June 2006,

Dr. Sugimin Pranoto has been appointed the interim director of the new AIT Center in Indonesia and has opened an office in Bandung, West Java.
