Please be informed that library will be closed on 12 and 13 August 2006 due to the holiday of Her Majesty the Queen's Birthday (Mothers' Day) and Compensatory Day.

The library will be open again on 14 August for all to use and for new students to familiarize themselves.

RS&GIS; welcomes visiting faculty member

The Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (RS&GIS;) field of study, School of Engineering and Technology welcomes Dr. Seishiro Kibe (left), who is seconded by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as a visiting professor starting from July 2006.

Dr. Kibe completed his bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1975, his master's in Structural Dynamics in 1977 and his doctorate in Engineering in 1981, all from Tokyo University.

The Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management organized a Curriculum Development Workshop from 9 to 21 July 2006 at AIT.

A total of 20 instructors (five from each institution) participated from Royal University of Agriculture, Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Tribhuvan University, Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Rampur, Nepal; Research Institute for Aquaculture No.1 / Hanoi Agricultural University, Hanoi, Vietnam; and the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
