Princess to preside over 24 May graduation

AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust announced this week that Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will preside over a single graduation ceremony on Wednesday, 24 May 2006 .

The Princess is an honorary faculty member and alumna of AIT. She has kindly consented to preside over the forthcoming 105th AIT Graduation Ceremony and to confer degrees upon the graduating students.

The Student Affairs Unit and the Student Union invites the AIT community to the 2006 Industry Fair, which will take place on 28 March 2006 at the AIT Conference Center lobby.

Starting from 9 a.m., this year's event will be graced by highly-reputed organizations such as Schlumberger Overseas S.A., the Siam Cement Group, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Thailand) Limited, MappointAsia (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Institute Forum takes place 29 March

AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust invites the AIT community to participate in an Institute Forum on Wednesday, 29 March 2006, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the AIT Conference Center auditorium.

In a follow-up to his recent announcement on the institute's financial performance for 2005, the president will present some of the measures that AIT needs to put in place to address the current financial situation.

Mr. Somchai Chonwattana (IWC 009998), candidate for the degree of Doctor of Engineering in the Field of Water Engineering and Management, School of Engineering and Technology will have his final examination on Friday, 31 March 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Room WR209 (WEM Meeting Room).

His dissertation is entitled 'Morphological Modeling of Seashore with the Existence of Fishtail Groins'
