AIT hosts Numerical Simulation for Disastrous Phenomena International Workshop

AIT recently hosted an international workshop on Numerical Simulation for
Disastrous Phenomena. The event, held on 8 December, was jointly organized by
the School of Engineering and Technologies (SET), AIT and the GSIC, Tokyo
Institute of Technology (a.k.a. Tokyo Tech).

The Tenth East Asia-Pacific Conference on Structural Engineering & Construction (EASEC) will be held on 3-5 August 2006 at InterContinental, Bangkok, Thailand

Organized by AIT, in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut's University of Technology, and Thammasat University, EASEC -10 will celebrate the opening of the new Ministry of Transport and Construction, the inauguration of the Suvarnabhumi airport, the construction of the Gulf Corridor Bridge, and several other mass transit projects.

Gen. Boonsrang addresses Batch 104

General Dr. Boonsrang Niumpradit (right), Deputy Supreme Commander, Royal Thai Armed Forces addressed the graduates of AIT's 104th Commencement Exercises (a.k.a. Batch 104) at a ceremony held on Friday, 16 December 2005 at the AIT Conference Center .

Dr Boonsrang is an alumnus of AIT who obtained his Doctor of Engineering degree in the field of Structural Engineering in 1978, and his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1972.

His patriotism and commitment to his country are reflected in his illustrious career of service in the military.

AITAA issues Alumni ID Cards

The AIT Alumni Office (AITAA), located just next to the post office is now issuing Alumni ID cards. Interested persons are advised to pay Bt50.00, secure a receipt from the Cashier's office and submit to the AITAA Office receipt and a passport size photo.

ARRPET conducts Annual Review Workshop

The Asian Regional Research Program on Environmental Technology (ARRPET) Phase II (Phase II) recently conducted its Annual Review Workshop from 5 to 7 December 2005 at the AIT Conference Center.

The workshop was attended by AIT Principal Investigators, representative from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Swedish Resource Persons and over 50 researchers from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
