The consultancy company NIRAS asks this question in an international essay competition focusing on the future, global knowledge society. NIRAS has a special interest in the topic since it is a knowledge-based company and has been so for half a century.
AIT to Launch a New Homepage
A surprise awaits you very soon when you log on to the AIT web site - a new
Homepage. As part of their job, the Web Development Working Group will give our homepage a facelift.
This will be an interim 'test page', a first step in the Group's re-designing
and re-building of the AIT web site.
AIT President to Meet Admin Office Heads and Staff
Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President will meet Admin. Office Heads and staff at an official meeting to be held on Thursday, 3 November, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon at the AIT Conference Center Auditorium.
SU to publish Batch 104
The Student Union (SU) will publish Batch, a yearbook-magazine published twice a year. Batch 104 will be published for the graduands of December 2005 and will be issued to them on their graduation day.
Tentative graduands of Batch 104 are advised to send their personal information and a soft copy of passport size photograph (minimum 300x300 pixel) to
sumedia@ait.
SOM faculty appointed BPD Director
Prof. Lalit Johri (right), SOM faculty member was recently elected Director, International Board of the Building Partnerships for Development (BPD). The election was held in conjunction with BPD's Annual General Meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa.
AIT Alumnus appointed Deputy Chair
Congratulations to Mr. Achmed Lanti (left), WRE'83 alumnus from SERD who was recently selected and appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Committee of East Asia Pacific Infrastructure Regulator Forum (EAPIRF). Mr. Lanti's service will require a 3-year program.
New kiosk opens at AITCS
A new kiosk located near the AIT Community School (AITCS) has just opened
to serve the needs of students of AITCS. Open from Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., the kiosk will cater various types of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
