On 8 June 2005, H.E. Mr. Yongyut Tiyapairat (center), Minister of the
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), made a visit to AIT and
toured the Queen Sirikit Arboretum Garden to which he discussed the possibility
to provide support.

CASM appoints Professor Tabucanon Honorary Professor

The Chinese Academy of Surveying and Mapping (CASM), PR China appointed
Professor Mario T. Tabucanon, AIT Acting President and Provost, at a conferment ceremony held in Beijing on 16 May 2005. The appointment honors and acknowledges Professor Tabucanon' s outstanding academic merit and remarkable contributions of AIT in providing quality education, research and training for Asian developing countries for nearly half century.
