AIT, TU and NSTDA to sign accord

The Land Lease Contract and Memorandum of Understanding on Academic and Inter-institutional Cooperation between AIT and Thammasat University have now been finalized. Everone is invited to a special ceremony which will be held at the AIT Conference Center Auditorium on Friday, 10 June 2005, 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at which the Land Lease Contract and MoU on Academic and Inter-institutional Cooperation between AIT and TU is scheduled to be signed.

AIT and MOE Launches Human Resource Development in Energy Project

AIT and the Ministry of Energy (MOE), in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 70th birth anniversary launched on 30 May 2005 the Human Resource Development in Energy Project.

The project will provide scholarships from the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund (ECPF) to support human resource development in Energy and Energy-related Environmental studies at AIT. The project will enhance the capacity of human resources in the Ministry of Energy, government agencies, state enterprises, relevant organizations, etc.

AIT Team Conducts Experimental Study of Hopewell Project's Structures

In February 2005, an AIT team, led by Dr. Pichai Nimityongskul, Coordinator of Structural Engineering Field of Study, School of Civil Engineering, was assigned by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning, Thailand, to conduct an experimental study to assess the concrete quality of 1,560 pillars constructed in 1995 for the Hopewell Project.

On 31 May 2005, H.E. Mrs. Maria Luisa Fernandez (above, second from left), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentuary, The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand met with Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Acting President and Provost.
