Disasters, risk and resilience need to be brought into curriculum at various levels of education, and different disciplines should integrated them within the education system. This was the dominant theme of the two-day conference on “Mainstreaming Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction in Education” organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 1-2 December 2017.

Dr Krishna R Salin has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in AIT’s School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD). A new book by AIT authors explores the Water-Energy-Food nexus in the global perspective, and explores futuristic perspectives in this paradigm. The cricket grounds of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will host seven women’s international cricket matches beginning 20 November 2017. Along with the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, these two grounds will be the joint hosts in Thailand as six Asian teams clash for a place in the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier to be held in Netherlands in June 2018 .

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has signed an agreement with Siam University to offer a Unified Bachelor Master degree program in Civil Engineering and Information Technology. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by Dr Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President, Siam University, and AIT President Prof.
