Dr Anil Kumar Anal, Head, Department of Food, Agriculture & Bioresources has published a book titled "Food Processing By-Products and Their Utilization."

Edited by Dr Anil, the book claims to be the first which is dedicated to food processing by-products and their utilization in a broad spectrum.

AIT to play lead role in modernization of industrial engineering curriculum in Thailand

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will take the lead in the modernization of the curriculum of industrial engineering in Thailand by developing the curriculum of a Master’s degree program in Industrial Engineering for Thailand Sustainable Smart Industry (MSIE4.0). AIT will be the project coordinator of a consortium of nine universities, which has been selected for co-funding from the European Union for the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education.

AIT was a phenomenal experience: NPU Chairman

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) provided a phenomenal experience as a student, and the Institute has been both exhilarating and challenging. This is a place where academic study is fascinating, and student life is terrific. Describing his association with his alma mater was Prof Zhang Wei, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), who left AIT as a student 17 years ago, but returned to the Institute on 16 September 2017 as a Chairman of the Board of NPU.

14 AIT students receive certificates at DAAD’s 60th-anniversary celebrations

Fourteen students from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) were among those who received certificates on the occasion of the sixtieth-anniversary celebrations of the German Academic Exchange Service-Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) held on 10 September 2017.

The students, who hailed from Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam were honored by Dr. Dorothea Rüland,  Secretary-General, DAAD, in the presence of the Ambassador of Germany to Thailand H.E. Mr.Peter Prügel.

AIT faculty member authors book on Disaster Risk Governance

AIT’s Dr. Indrajit Pal has co-authored a book titled “Disaster Risk Governance in India and Cross Cutting Issues.” The 19-chapter book, published by Springer provides an analytical discussion of the status of disaster risk reduction and governance in an Indian context.
