The Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN) is an alliance of eleven top ranking academic and research institutions in the six Mekong Sub-region countries, namely, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Yunnan Province of China.

The event is sponsored by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), organized by the Electric Power System Management (EPSM) FoS, SERD and supported by the EC-ASEAN COGEN Programme III.

honors AIT with the next 'Bridges' event series
Prof. Claude Cohen-Tannoudji (right), a 1997 Nobel Laureate for Physics recipient will honor AIT in a lecture in the next 'Bridges' event series to be held on 08 December 2004, 10:00 a.m. at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium.

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Tongji University, China PR sign accord on exchange of information, student and faculty exchange, and joint projects at a ceremony held at AIT on 17 November 2004.

The delegation comprised of Dr. Lee, Haw-Tung, Vice President, Yu Da College of Business; Dr. Wang, Yuan-Chia, Yu Da College of Business; Dr. Shen, Horng-Syi, Yu Da College of Business; Dr. Wang, Hwa-Horng, Ming Hsin University of Science and Technology and Dr. Mei, Kuo-Chung, Chung Kuo Institute of Technology.

At the invitation of Professor Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President, the Board of Managers of Training Project for 300 Prospective Master/ Doctorate Awardees of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam visited AIT from 4 to 7 November 2004.
