UN-HABITAT, AIT sign MoA

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Tuesday, October 28, 2003.

AIT will provide technical expertise to UN-HABITAT activities in the Asia and Pacific Region, while UN-HABITAT will provide technical, financial and network support in strengthening AIT's research capacity in the urban sector, and will promote AIT as a center of learning and training in Asia in urban development.

The School of Environment, Resources and Development welcomes Dr. S.S. Burark (left) as a Visiting Associate Professor in the Agricultural Systems and Engineering Field of Study during the September 2003 term.

Dr. Burark received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from University of Udaipur and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner, India in 1978, 1981, and 1990, respectively.
