While carbon may be the key to mitigation, the name and essence of climate change adatpation is water. This was the central theme of the Seventh AIT Distinguished Adjunct Faculty (DAF) Faculty Seminar Series delivered by Prof Janos J Bogárdi at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 2 December 2016.
Modelled as a forum where students can offer their suggestions for betterment, the Institute Forum organized on 1 December 2016 had seven students hailing from different countries present their recommendations on how the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) can move ahead.

The Horasis Asia Meet held in Bangkok on 27-28 November 2018 had AIT playing the role of an academic partner for the annual gathering of business leaders from emerging markets and their global counterparts.
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) was co host of the 15th General Conference of the International Association of Universities (IAU), an event that was presided over by Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The Conference, which was jointly organized along with by Chulalongkorn University, Siam University and Suranaree University of Technology from 13-16 November 2016, also commemorated 100 years of University System in Thailand.
The project is jointly implemented by AIT and Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan in collaboration with Department of Groundwater Resources (DGR), Thailand, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE), Vietnam, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Pakistan and University of Brawijaya (UB), Indonesia.
The seminar will have two sessions on "Research on information technology and competitive advantage" on 6 December 2016 from 1300-1600 hours; and on "How to perform impactful research in the field of Information Systems? Meet the Editor" on 7 December 2016 from 1300-1600 hours at DBA Room 230 (Second Floor), School of Management.
