Mr. Ambika Prasad Gautam (NIP007227), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Resources Management (NRM), Rural Development, Gender and Resources (RDGR) Program, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) will have his final examination on Monday, November 18, 9:00-11:00 a.m. in Room E229 (Workshop Room)

His dissertation is entitled Forest Land Use and Community-Based Institutions in a Mountain Watershed in Nepal: Implications for Forest Governance and Management

Mr. Prapatpaow Awakul (SCC979754), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Engineering in the Structural Engineering and Construction Program< School of Civil Engineering (SCE) will have his final examination on Wednesday, November 20, 1:00 p.m. in Room N-227 (SEC Meeting Room).

His dissertation is entitled Interface Conflict in Large Construction Projects: The Case of Thailand.

Blood Donation

Blood Donation

The Thai Red Cross Society's bloodmobile is scheduled to obtain blood donation on Friday, November 22, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noontime, at the parking lot in front of the AIT-Conference Center.

Volunteer donors are counted to save lives by giving a part of themselves through blood donation.

His dissertation is entitled 'Entrepreneurial Orientation, Business Strategies and Firm Performance: A Comparative Study of Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises in Vietnam and Thailand'

SERD PhD student receives Best Paper Award

SERD PhD student receives Best Paper Award

AIT alumnus Dr. S.M. Mahfuzur Rahman recently received the Best Paper Award 2002 for his work during his PhD studies at SERD, AIT.

Dr. Rahman's paper entitled 'Effect of Endogenous and Commercial Enzymes on Improving Extraction of Sweet Potato Starch' was adjudged the best paper at the Annual Paper Meet, Agricultural Engineering Division of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) held last month.

VISITING AIT

The Protocol Party for the State Visit to Thailand of His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden recently visited AIT and to view the soon-to-be-launched Volvo-sponsored Thailand Accident Center.
