October 30-Novermber 1, 2002: A short term training workshop on TRADING AND MANAGEMENT IN A LIBERALIZED ELECTRICITY MARKET will be organized by Electric Power System Management, Asian Technology, Thailand. The main topics covered will be:

Overview and objectives of electric sector reforms and trading in Europe
Key issues in the transition into a competitive electricity market
Competitive market in generation and trading and sales of electricity
Regulated and monopoly market of electricity network services
The development of electricity exchanges in Europe
Portfolio risk management
Different forms of delivery and contracts
Experiences from trading and sales in a liberalized European market.
