AITAA Research Grant

The AITAA Research Grant is supplemental to available funds at AIT enabling students to go back to their home country to work on problems of national importance.

The AITAA is now accepting applicants for the AITAA Research Grant who can satisfy the Selection Guidelines listed below:

AITAA Research Grant Selection Guidelines:

Select the best research topic to be based on the following priority areas:

Research on developing of technologies appropriate to the resources and needs of developing countries.

(2-3 term Fellowships for Master Degree and four term

AITAA-Nepal Chapter Elects New Officers

AITAA-Nepal, one of the most active chapter among the 26 AITAA Chapters held its annual election of officers
on 14 March in Nepal.

The president-elect for 2002 is Mr. Kamal Raj Pande (GTE '83) and
Mr. Ramesh Raj Bista (GTE '85) assumes the post as new Veep.

ARRPET ANNUAL REVIEW WORKSHOP

The 'Asian Regional Research Programme on Environmental Technology (ARRPET)' will hold its Annual Review Workshop starting today 19 March 2002 at AIT.

Funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), ARRPET is coordinated by AIT and involves 20 National Research Institutions (NRIs) in 8 Asian countries, namely, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Help to SMEs: GMSARN co-organizes QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT workshop

The Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) and the GMS Business Forum, have co-organized the workshop 'QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT.' The cooperating agencies are the Electrical and Electronics Institute of Thailand and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok.
