Blood donation

Blood donation

The Thai Red Cross Society's bloodmobile is scheduled to obtain blood donation
on Thursday, 28 February 2002, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noontime, at the parking lot
in front of the AIT-Conference Center. All AITians are most welcome.

We count on volunteer donors to save lives by giving a part of themselves
through blood donation.

AITAA Doctoral Conference Participation Program

AITAA Doctoral Conference Participation Program

The AITAA sponsors doctoral students to attend an international conference. The aims are to promote interest in sharing of knowledge and experience, and to project the AIT image in research.

The AITAA will provide financial support not exceeding Bt35,000 for one
doctoral student to assist to cover the cost of attendance including
registration, traveling, and accommodation expenses.

Friday, 1 March, 9.00 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. - 3.00 p.m. The prices will be as follows:

Used bed-sheets (double) 4 sheets/pack = Bt100
Used bed-sheets (single) 5 sheets/pack = Bt100
Used towels (thick) 5 pcs.

Chamber of Commerce Industry Paris (CCIP)

On 4 February, H.E. Mr. Christian Prettre, French Ambassador to Thailand, presided over the signing of an agreement between AIT and Chamber of Commerce Industry Paris (CCIP), paving the way for further cooperation in promoting a multi-regional approach in higher education and in responding to the specific needs of developing countries in Asia.

The seminar will be conducted by Dr. Wilasa Vichit-Vadakan on Tuesday, 19 February 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in Room E220 (East-West Academic Building) She is currently associated with the Council of Science and Technology, Princeton University, New Jersey, USA, as a Teaching Fellow.

AIT and KIST sign dual degree program agreement and hold international cooperation symposium

AIT and KIST sign dual degree program agreement and hold international cooperation symposium

AIT signed a dual degree program agreement with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) on 31 January. The development of a dual degree program, at the Master and Doctoral levels, was agreed upon by AIT and KIST at the first AIT-KIST International Symposium held in KIST on 6 July 2001.

Organized in conjunction with the agreement signing was the AIT-KIST International Cooperation Symposium on research activities being carried out by the two institutions in the fields of environmental engineering, life sciences, systems engineering and material science.
