Abstract: Since the oil embargo in 1973, scientists have been striving to develop new processes that use renewable sources and cleaner technologies to meet our energy and chemical needs. Initially it was driven towards reducing oil imports and the assumption of finite availability of fossil fuels.
A four-member delegation of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 17 June 2016 to explore on food value chain development including food value additions, marketing and processing, and ICT technology.

A four-member delegation of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 17 June 2016 to explore on food value chain development including food value additions, marketing and processing, and ICT technology.
A team of two AIT students have won the third place in the “Go Green in the City†competition organized by Schneider Electric. Termed as a global student competition for sustainable energy solutions, the competition, which was held on 19 May 2016 at Schneider’s Bangphoo Industrial Estate, saw AIT’s team comprising of Pokchat Wetchapinant and Danupol Wetchasirikul win the second runner-up position in Thailand.
