Andalas University, Indonesia taps into AIT’s academic and administrative expertise

Andalas University, Indonesia, has sought the expertise of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in academic excellence, international research, and administrative and budgetary management. A 17-member delegation from Andalas University led by their former Rector Prof. Werry Darta Taifur, visited AIT on 12 January 2016 and interacted with senior AIT officials to learn about AIT’s academic and nonacademic evaluation system.

116 students from three continents join AIT

One-hundred and sixteen students hailing from 16 countries spread across three continents were welcomed on the occasion of the Orientation Day on 5 January 2016 organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The day marked the beginning of the January semester, with the incoming students being acquainted to the premier postgraduate institute.

AIT contributes to COP21

As 196 countries from all over the world signed the historic Paris Climate Change agreement, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has reasons to rejoice as it has been actively contributing towards the process leading to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP21).
