Dhiphaya Insurance Company (DIC) has offered to pay AIT a lump-sum payout of 223.45 Million Baht against a new “Indemnity Basis” claim on damages to equipment and utilities from last year’s flood.

Fifteen Master’s scholarships at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), financed by the World Bank have been announced for Afghanistan by the Minister of Higher Education (MOHE), Afghanistan. The scholarships include two matching scholarships provided by AIT covering the tuition fee.

Impassioned students sought clarification on the issue of the degrees issued by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), an issue that Prof. Irandoust said that the AIT Council has already called upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to call a meeting of all stakeholders seeking a formal clarification on all issues concerning AIT. Further the AIT Council members will attend the Institute Forum at AIT on 30 October 2012, and it will meet with everyone to clarify issues.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Raipur, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) seeking student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research projects and organization of joint academic and scientific activities. The MoU was signed by Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM, Raipur and Prof. Said Irandoust, President, AIT on 18 October 2012.
