The Urban Environmental Engineering and Management Program of the School of Environment, Resources and Development welcomes Prof. Poul Harremoes from the Technical University of Denmark. Prof. Harremoes is a visiting faculty under the AIT-DTU Twinning for the January 2000 term. He is teaching course ED09.98A, 'Environmental Management and Ethics'. He can be contacted at E128 (#6428).

The Computer Science and Information Management Program of the School of Advanced Technologies welcomes Prof. Finn Arve Aagesen as a Visiting Faculty for one year. Not new to the AIT community, Prof. Aagesen was seconded by the Government of Norway in 1986 and visited AIT many times since. At present, he is Professor and Head of the Department of Telematics (ITEM) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Prof. Aagesen obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Data Communication from NTH, Trondheim, Norway, in 1973 and 1977, respectively. His general research interest concerns teleservice and protocol architecture. This includes the overall architectural substances as well as appropriate languages and language concepts to express the structure and behavior of the components of the architecture. His specific research interest involves 'Plug-and-play for network and teleservice components'. Prof. Aagesen is the Norwegian delegate to IFIP TC6 (Communication), and a member of the IFIP working group WG 6.7: Smart Networks. He can be contacted in room CS202, Tel. Ext. 6576
