August 13, 2022 -- In a webinar organized on 13 August by the AIT Belt and Road Research Center (BRRC), experts shared the latest data science application technologies that can propel countries in the Belt and Road region towards achieving sustainable development.
AITAA is calling for nomination of the President of our association according to Article V, Section 4 of the AIT Alumni Association Statutes ratified on 11 July 2005. The President’s position is effective for 01 January 2022 to 31 December 2023.
Any regular member alumnus/alumna is eligible for a maximum of two consecutive terms.
Mr. Umer H. Al-Qureshi, an AIT alumnus graduated Masters in Structural Engineering 1999 and a Senior Software Developer at Computer & Structures, Inc., U.S.A. provides in-kind donation of 50 Rapid Antigen test kits to track and trace potential cases and to keep AIT community safe from COVID-19.
AIT President Dr. Eden Y. Woon expressed his thanks to Mr. Umer H. Al-Qureshi for this timely donation and support to the Institute.
In early January 2021, AIT launched the Alumni Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships support to qualified incoming Masters students for August 2021 intake, with priority on students who face economic challenges.
We are very grateful for the generosity of our 37 alumni who contributed USD 20,031 thus far.

Since January of 2020, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has spread across the world. The situation in Thailand was very stable starting last summer--with a minor outbreak in December-- all the way through the early part of 2021. Unfortunately, a fierce wave has hit Thailand in April, but we are hopeful that things will improve soon.

June 30th, 2021 -- With the official launches of Global Water and Climate Adaptation Center– Aachen-Bangkok-Chennai-Dresden (ABCD) and CASTT Adaptation Academy, AIT and its global partners are set to conduct research, educate new generation, and provide experience and expertise to tackle climate change in the Asia-Pacific region.
Ratch Cogeneration Co. Ltd., Managing Director Mr. Thanabodee Pratumrat signed an agreement with AIT President Dr. Eden Y. Woon on 24th June 2021 to support 100,000 Thai Baht towards the Organizational Quarantine (OQ) facility operations.
