National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan wishes to launch joint programs with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), particularly in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), disaster management, business administration, and in the field of professional development. This was stated by Dr. Ashfaque H. Khan, Director General and Dean, NUST Business School, in a meeting with senior AIT officials on 5 July 2012.
University of North Texas considers Southeast Asia to be a major focus area and will be opening an office in Bangkok in January 2013. Given UNT’s foray in Thailand, it seeks to partner with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), particularly in the field of engineering and management.

Mr. Suhail Kausar, overseas manager of Al-Mubeen Carpets donated carpets and prayer mats for the prayer room, and promised to return again with more.
Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT) has tied up with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to facilitate student and faculty mobility, and initiate joint academic and research programs. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate these activities was signed on 25 June 2012 by Director, IICPT, Dr. K. Alagusundaram, and the AIT President, Prof. Said Irandoust.
A book titled “Mainstreaming Human Security: Asian Perspectives†edited by a team including Dr. Philippe Doneys of the Gender and Development Studies (GDS) field of study at AIT’s School of Environment Resources and Development (SERD) has been released.
