Bank of Bhutan seeks to partner with AIT

Bank of Bhutan, which is the largest and oldest bank in Bhutan, is exploring ways to partner with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for upgrading the skills of its employees. This was the sentiment expressed by Mr. Karma Tshering, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Bhutan, during a visit to AIT on 28 January 2011.

AIT is a very strong partner: JAXA

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) considers Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to be a very strong partner in terms of space technology related work and would continue its collaboration. This was stated by Dr. Masanori Homma, Executive Director, JAXA during a visit to AIT on 26 January 2011.

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) can avail of opportunities to participate in global-level professional development in communications and marketing, alumni relations and advancement services, the Executive Director Asia-Pacific for The Council of Advancement and Support Education (CASE), Ms. Chua Beng Hwee, told senior AIT officials this week.

Prof Ram Shrestha to be Professor Emeritus

Prof. Ram Manohar Shrestha will be honored with emeritus professorship at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The conferment of this award was approved by the Board of Trustees of AIT at its meeting on 20 January 2011. The formal conferment of the Professor Emeritus award will be made during the May 2011 graduation ceremony.
