Felicitations on 83rd Birthday Celebrations of His Majesty the King of Thailand

Nearly 50 delegates from the governments of Sudan and Afghanistan participated in a joint opening ceremony of an International Training Program organized by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 6 December 2010. Welcoming the participants, AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust, said that AIT was honored to host such a distinguished delegation from the two countries.

Analyzing particles in zero dimensions

Human beings cannot be squeezed into two dimensions, but fundamental particles can exist in lower dimensions. Fundamental particles can even be zero dimensional, because these particles are identical. Traversing on a journey of the “The Science of the Small”, Dr. Matt Kim, founder of president of QuantTera, which specialized in producing nano-engineered quantum based devices for photonic applications; spoke at length about the potential use of low dimension structures.

AIT participates in Global Social Business Summit 2010

Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) took its seat at the recent Global Social Business Summit 2010 headlined by Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus held on 4-5 November 2010 in Wolfsburg, Germany. The international event brought together practitioners and proponents of social business representing more than 100 companies, 20 universities and 46 nations from around the world.

Green AIT Day salutes its International character

The international character of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) was very much in focus on the occasion of the ‘Green AIT Day’ organized on 19 November 2010. Over 150 students from nearly three dozen countries planted trees on behalf of their country – a act that was in line with AIT’s image of being a ‘Clean and Green Campus’.
