World needs to be part of successful Copenhagen Climate Change Summit, says Dr. Lohani

Developing countries, particularly in Asia need to “climate proof” their infrastructure since they will face impacts like floods, drought, river bank erosion and cyclones on account of climate change. 97 per cent of the projected increase in Carbon dioxide emissions between 2005-2030 will emanate from non OECD countries and 60 per cent would be from China and India.

Breault, Chairman of the Board of Breault Research Organization (BRO) stated that the biosciences industry will boost the demand even further. “There are simply not enough optical engineers to conduct the required research”, Dr Breault remarked while addressing a gathering at the Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology at AIT.
