A yearly maintenance of all power substations on campus on Saturday, 10 March 2007, will mean a power interruption from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Residents are advised that during the said period, the air conditioning system will be shut down in the whole campus, including the AIT Conference Center.

Please be informed that from 24 February to 11 March 2007 (for mid-sem examination) the Library will be open as follows:

Monday - Saturday from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 a.m.
Sunday from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 a.m.

and will be closed on 3rd March 2007 for the Makha Bucha (Buddhist) holiday

Blood donation for those who would like

The Thai Red Cross Society has been working with volunteer students and AIT staff to collect units of blood from the AIT community. The bloodmobile visits AIT every three months; four times a year, hoping to collect enough units to supply the constant demand for blood.

Speck Systems, India employees to further their master’s studies in RS&GIS
A Memoradum of Understanding between AIT and Speck Systems Ltd. (SSL), Hyderabad, India., was signed during a one-day visit to India by Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, on 19 February 2007. The MoU covers the agreement that SSL will sponsor two employees for studies/research per year (starting from the August 2007 intake), leading to a master’s degree in Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Systems (RS&GIS) at AIT. The students under this agreement will spend two semesters at AIT and two semesters thesis work at Speck.

Upon the recommendation of Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, recently appointed the following associate deans in SET:

Dr. Joydeep Dutta, Associate Dean for New Development: Dr. Dutta will assist the Dean in planning for new areas (the first one is Materials Engineering) and review of all MoUs.

Dr. Nitin Afzulpurkar, Associate Dean for Promotion: Dr. Afzulpurkar will assist the Dean in planning marketing strategies for recruiting students in focus countries including handling of all related promotional documents.
