AIT will have New Year holidays on 1st and 2nd of January 2007
The Thai Government recently announced that 2nd January 2007 is an official holiday. Accordingly, AIT will have its New Year holidays on 1st and 2nd of January 2007. Normal operations will resume on 3 January 2007.
Infrastructure announcements for long holiday
The Infrastructure Office informs the AIT Community about the arrangements on building and housing maintenance work, ground cleaning, the campus mail, swimming pool maintenance, closing schedule of the AITCC and cafeteria vendors, safety precautions and other measures.
USAID, AIT launch community learning center in Ranong as part of tsunami recovery
RANONG – Thai and U.S. government officials, community members, and private sector representatives gathered in Ranong’s Suk Samron subdistrict on 12 December to inaugurate the Kamphuan Community Learning Center and commemorate the second anniversary of the December 2004 tsunami.

On 15 December 2006, AIT held the 106th Graduation Ceremony to 160 students from 19 countries at the AIT Conference Center. AIT President Said Irandoust presided over the ceremony. Dr. Tej Bunnag, the newly appointed chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees, delivered the graduation address.

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn grants Royal Audience to AIT students
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 30 November 2006 at Chitralada Palace, graciously granted a Royal Audience to 25 AIT students who are recipients of H.M. the King's and H.M. the Queen's scholarships for the academic year 2005-2006.
