The conference aims to bring the researchers working in intelligent systems, soft computing, intelligent networks and other related areas under one umbrella to enable exchange of ideas and interaction between them for the advancement of this field of science and technology.

Lavinia hotel, Sri Lanka on 18 September 2006.SOM’s DBA program is for senior professional managers/administrators and is intended to create a body of knowledge embedded in practice.

On 11 September 2006, H.E. Mr. Laurent Aublin, Ambassador of France to Thailand and Chairman of AIT's Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, signed an agreement between the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Asian Institute of Technology for a France/AIT Programme of Joint Research Projects for Scientific Development in the ASEAN called France / AIT Network.
