Library's opening hours changed 17-28 July
Please be informed that from 17 to 28 July 2006 the AIT Library's opening hours will be as follows: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. ; Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
American newspaper features AIT-related tsunami recovery program
The Providence Journal, a newspaper in Providence, Rhode Island, Unites States, featured on 13 July a program in which AIT is involved in tsunami recovery efforts.
August term to start one week later
Prof. Peter Haddawy , vice president for academic affairs, on 14 July 2006 , announced that the institute will move the start date of classes from 9 to 16 August. Student orientation will be held on 15 August.
Vietnamese delegation meets with SOM
On 7 July 2006 , a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City Investment Fund for Urban Development and Saigon-Tay Bac Joint Stock Company visited AIT. The delegation met and had a fruitful discussion with A IT President Said Irandoust in the morning and later spent time at the School of Management to discuss future collaboration and meet with Vietnamese students.
Malaysians investigate AIT's energy programs
On 07 July 2006 , a delegation from The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Mechanical Engineering Technical Division), Malaysia visited AIT. The objective of the visit was to study the roles of AIT in energy efficiency and renewable energy for Asia and other developing countries.
