Dr. Roland Amoussou-Guenou, head of intellectual property programs and visiting lecturer, represented AIT at the Euro-Southeast Asia 2006 Cooperation Forum on Information and Communication Technologies (EUSEA 2006) which was held in Singapore from 19 to 23 June 2006.

SEAFCO to collaborate with AIT on research and to establish scholarships
On Monday, SEAFCO Public Company Limited and AIT will enter into an agreement that will provide two scholarships for master's degree students and make provisions for joint research projects.
SET gets new field coordinators
Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, has named new field coordinators.
The fields and their coordinators are:
Computer Science and Information Management: Dr. Sumanta Guha (replacing Dr Vatcharaporn Esichaikul)
Industrial Engineering and Management/Design and Manufacturing Engineering: Dr Voratas Kachitvchyanukul (reappointment)
Mechatronics/Microelectronics: Dr. Nitin Afzulpurkar (reappointment)
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems: Dr. Xiaoyong Chen (reappointment)
Telecommunications: Dr. R.M.A. Premanandana Rajatheva (reappointment)

K-water visit speaks of further collaboration
On 20 June 2006, Dr. Kyul-Ho Kwak, former Korean minister of Environment and currently president of Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) delivered a speech on the direction of environmental policies in the Republic of Korea as part of an ongoing lecture series, in the Milton Bender Auditorium.
Philippines delegation explores partnership
On 29 June 2006, nine members of the city council from the Science City of Munoz, Nieva Ecija, Philippines, visited AIT to explore the collaboration. The delegation was led by the Hon. Mr. Jose A. Ruiz, Jr., who is a 1979 graduate of AIT's Agricultural and Food Engineering program.
