More than 25 attended a program on 'Patent Search in Academic Institutes and Universities' at AIT's School of Management on 2 May 2006. It was the first such program put on by AIT and the EC-ASEAN Intellectual Property Rights Cooperation Programme (ECAP II), which is a European Commission funded program for the promotion of intellectual property rights within the ASEAN region.

The Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) in Daejon, Republic of Korea is offering an internship program to 14 AIT students. The internship lasts from 1 June to 31 July 2006.

Mr. Ashok Ghosh, the President of J.K.Cements, one of the largest cement companies in India and part of the Singhania Group of companies, during his recent visit to AIT agreed to sponsor the competition.
