Following the practice begun by the president, Prof. Peter Haddawy, Vice President for Education, now has open office hours every second week as his travel schedule permits. Prof. Haddawy's open office hours take place on the second and fourth Tuesday afternoon of every month, coinciding with the president's open office hours.

Chinese, Korean courses offered

Those interested in learning beginner's level Mandarin Chinese please register right away. Those interested in learning Korean should express an interest to the Language Center.

The schedule for the Chinese course is 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Fridays from 1 February to 17 March 2006. Maximum class size is 20. The course will be conducted if at least 10 people register.

The Vietnamese community of AIT came together Saturday, 28 January 2006 , to celebrate the Vietnamese New Year. More than 200 students, faculty and staff of various nationalities joined to welcome the lunar new year with food, drinks, karaoke, dancing and fireworks.
